Hanging out with the family

We have got the honor to use this outfit for Noah's baptism that is comming up soon. It's an ancient swedish tradition, a part of our culture, to baptise your baby and then also make the name official. I am happy to give my son, Noah Mihael Mendonca, that Swedish heritage. 55 years ago this exact outfit was worn by Lasse and after that all four of his sons did the same on their baptisms. Now it's Noah's turn. Bart says you are not allowed to call it a dress, you have to call it an outfit. Wierd American man! When it's time for the blessing in the US Bart has decided to get a white little suit for him.

Caroline is trying to get Noah to laugh here. She really tries to make him smile and puts in all her effort to make that happen. She takes so good care of him and is such a loving aunt.

Maybe grandma can help her. She really loves her grandkids!

Jenny and Milo. It's fun to have my sister living next door. We hang out at least once a day. Now we are also going to baptise the boys together. Exciting!

Lasse checking Noah out! He's impressed with Noah's strong legs!

More photos of Jojo as a baby (1 year)

Here's me, my mom and dad and my sister Jenny

I think I can see who the mother of Noah is at least!
It's fun to see pics from your childhood now when you have kids of your own, to compare and see what features Noah got from who. When we go to the US I want to see if Jolene has some more photos of Bart since we only have a few over here. But people now start to say that Noah looks more and more like a little Bart.

Fika with Christel & Björn

Today we went into Helsingborg for a impromtu date with my long-time friend Christel and her boyfriend Björn. We had a lot to catch up on since it has been a few months since we met last. Björn is the guy who gave Jolene water at our wedding, for everybody that remembers that story. He was a real charmer who is still today talked about in the Mendonca family. I love hanging out with this couple, they are so easy-going and fun people. Thank's you guys for the fun date and let's promise eachother not to wait too long untill we meet again. We got a cute PJ for Noah with the Moomin-trolls on. So cute! Noah was cute as heck and charmed everybody with his sweet little smile, making mommy so proud.

Poem in troublesome times

Helena och Zelma

Noah and I decided to go out to Hyllinge, the little village outside Helsingborg were I grew up, to hang out with my friend and co-worker Helena and her 4 week old daughter Zelma. We had so mutch fun and so did the kids. They where playing on the ground getting to know one another while the mommys were talking and catching up on the latest. We listened and sang to the kids', and of course the mommys, favorite music which is the songs from Astrid Lindgrens movies. We paked up the kids and went to the store. We made dinner that was yummy! Thank you Helena for a very fun day!

Strong boy

Calm down Noah, you are only 2,5 months old! You are not supposed to be able to stand up and walk just yet. Daddy is helping you here! Noah was in my sisters bed ealier today, on his tummy playing with cousin Milo. All of a sudden he just start to "crawl" and moves about a foot or so. The other day when I put him down for a nap, I put him in bed head facing towards the top of the bed. When I heard him in there 15 minutes later talking away, I went to go get him. He had moved so that the head now was facing the bottom of the bed!!!!! Noah continues impressing me everyday!

Noah's new baby-hopper

You are not suppose to use this untill 4 months of age (the instuction say). But since we have a very strong boy with two parent's that can't wait to use Noah's new toys, we let him try it out. He just looked at us thinking: Now, what do you want me to do? He bounced around a coulple of times but then he got tired of it.

Our cute boy

Fell asleep in our bed after feeding. So adorable!

Tired boy here sleeping on Bart's chest

Exercising and making progress every day. He shocks us every day when we discover how strong he got.
Mommy's little angel, love you!

Sherwood Forest

Today Noah and I went with Jenny, David, Milo and the dogs for a little trip to the forest. Bart had some homework due today so he couldn't come. It was a whole project loading their little car up with all 7 of us but we made it somehow. First some of us was a little cranky (hmm... Jenny!). Then it was Noah's turn. He got hungry all of a sudden and I had to feed him on a stump (I have discovered that the key to being a good mom is flexibility and smart sollutions).

Noah got hungry!
Mommy can't get enough of Noah-kisses!

Jenny loves her Milo!

Timber!

Beautiful forest with tons of trees making us feel dizzy from all the oxygen. Doesn't it just look like the Sherwwod forest from Robin Hood. We walked 5km (David had his pedometer on... ehh nerd! hehe). D had I had the boys in our babybjörns and got a good exercise with our 15 lbs (7 kg) babies haning on us. Daisy and Kenzo also had some fun. Daisy was off her leash! I was nervous though because David told me that there were wild boars that could kill Daisy in a heartbeart. But I was looking out!

The sisters striking a pose!

After our little walk we headed over to David's parents Eva and Uffe's house. We had some coffee and cinnamon rolls which was lovely. It's always nice to hang out with D's family, they are very nice and friendly. After an hour we decided to head home and the two little boys fell asleep right away. Thank you guy's for a fun day!
When I came home it was nice finding the house all clean, the sheets changed and the groceries bought. Thank you my lovely Bart for fixing all if that. Now, Noah is already sleeping and has been for the last two hours. It's a little early but he is so tired after a fun and busy day.

Cozy little Thursday

We just had a relaxing day today. First of all Noah slept from 10 pm - 6am (thank you little boy!). He had a little "morning-snack" and fell right back to sleep again, just to wake up again at 8. But now he was ready to wake up! (Bart and I will have to learn to go to bed earlier so we can get some sleep, now when Noah is good at that!). Morning coffee and playing with Noah for a while. He is getting so good and strong and just loves standing up in our laps. I am positive that boy will start walking before he's crawling. Bart headed over to the gym for a daily dose of exercise! Me and Noah kept playing and Spotify was playing in the backgroud (it is seriously addicting!). Noah took a 4 hour nap and I did som cleaning-up around the messy house! When he woke up we went to the police station and got a passport for Noah, so now he's ready for the big world and our trip to Arizona in October. It was hard to get him to look into the camera. I tried to catch his attention with one of his toys, but he just wanted to look at me. He was so cute and probably the youngest passport-seaker that place has ever had. When we got home we didn't feel like cooking and got pizza's instead. To make tha whole day complete Bart made his famous Cow-pies (Koblajor, for all you Swedes out there!). Delish!!!!!!! The boy has already fallen asleep and now it's mom and dad's time to relax on the couch. CSI Miami is on!
Good Night everybody, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite!

Noah fell asleep in my lap, is there anything more cozy?
Everybody keeps telling me to treasure every day you get when the kids are small because time flies by. I am truly taking that to my heart. After a day of activities and out on the road I try to just realx and do nothing else but to enjoy being able to not work and see my son grow up.

Daisy got to lick the PB-jar clean and got very happy. Look at that long tongue!

Just a little something to think about

Don't take the one you love for granted. Let them know how much you love and appreciate each and everyone of them. Life can take unexpected turns, therefor live everyday as it would have been the last!

The day you were born changed my life forever!

Two months have passed. It feels like yesterday that he was born, but it still feels like he has been here forever. I am truly blessed with this beautiful child of mine. Thank you Noah for choosing me as your mom.
