Aunt getting married

Today it was time for the second wedding for the summer. It was my aunt Ingegärd turn to get married to her now husband Jan. It was a lovely wedding, the sun was shining och love was in the air. The ceremony was held in their garden and was cute and beautiful. After the cermony we had dinner in the house, a buffet which was deliscious. Than we had a weddingcake, which was also very deliscious. Everything tastes good when you are pregnant and hungry. We had a good time together with the family and as you can tell most of us likes to pose for all the pics thats going on all the bloggs. I am enjoying, hopefully the last days of pregnancy. I have a feeling he's comming soon. But I don't whant to get anybodys hope up to much, but I think we are going to see our boy very shortly. We will have to see what the future holds for us. Bart's very excited and can't wait to finally become a dad! He is going to be the best one!

4 Years of Blissful Marriage

Today we are celebrating 4 wonderful years of beeing husband and wife. I can' t belive it's been that long already. During these 4 years we have had so much fun together. I am so lucky to be in love with my best friend. We are like two peas in a pod, Bart and I. Bart got me this cute locket in white gold with pictures of me and him in it. There's one more space where a photo of Noah can soon go. On the back of the locket Bart engraved "Better Togheter" which is the title of one of our songs with Jack Johnson and also how we feel about each other. Life really is better togheter. Bart also wrote a beautiful letter and read it to me. I just couldn't keep the tears from comming, and boy did they come.
I got Bart socks and underwear, how romantic of me! But he got happy because besides me thats all he wanted.
Thank you Bart for 4 years of blissful marriage, and many many more to come.

BBQ with Jen and Dave

We barbequed today and had Jenny and David over. The food was great! We had steak, potato salad, regular salad, criss-cut fries and corn-on-the-cob which we cooked on the grill. No dessert though. Oh well, I am supposed to be on a diet.

Josefine bought some raspberry tea, which is supposed to help the labor process get started. Let's pray it works, neither one of us can take much more of this pregnancy. We went to the midwife today for a little check-up and she did not really say anything special. She did not check to see if Josefine is dilated. The midwife just listened to Noah's heartbeat, which was 129 bpm, checked Josefine's blood pressure and measured her belly. My sister Amy has a feeling Noah is coming this week and that sounds good to me. She successfully predicted that Hadley was going to be a girl, so let's hope she can be right one more time.

We're going to my friends wedding

Today Bart went to the gym as normal now a days. He's really good lately working out 4-5 times a week and eating a lot healthier. He's even taking a meal-replacement once a day. On the frige door he keeps track of the weight loss and last week he lost about 2,5 Kg or almost 5 lbs. Way to go Bart, I am proud of you!

After a nap we got ready to go to my friend Malins wedding. It's fun getting dressed up and cute for a change. Bart wanted me to wear my pearls and so I did. It's a shame I don't wear 'em more than I do. I think we look good together. Bart looks ready for fatherhood, don't you think?

The wedding couple was so cute and looked so in love. I cried as I always do on weddings, and especially now when I am pregnant it's easy for the waterworks to get going. Seeing the wedding couple today made me remember my own wedding day. It's four years ago comming up soon, but it feels like yesterday. It was nice to hear the priest talk about their marriage since it got me to think about what Bart and I said to eachother on our wedding day. It's easy to forget what a marriage is all about and sometimes you don't appreciate eachother as much as you always should. But it's nice to feel that I still love Bart so much, we are still very happy together. It's nice to be in love with your best friend.

Here's how we look from the dog's point of view

Me in week 39

Me posing with a little heart on our love-baby-belly! I have my bola on, the little bell around my neck. It's told to be comforting for the baby and call his guardian angel. When Noah is born I am going to place it in the mobile above his bed. Maybe he will remember the quite little jingles from the time in the womb and it will calm him when his upset. I can't wait for my little boy to come and finally sleep next to us in the bedroom. Maybe he will remember the songs I have been singing to him aswell. Only time will tell!
I have had a couple of painful contractions the last few days. I guess my boby is practicing and getting ready for the big day. I wonder when he'll decide to pop out, our little angel.

Homemade baby-bedding

After spending the day with my familly I came home and finished the cover for Noah's comforter. After some swearing and yelling at my sewing mashine I finally completed it. Bart had to come and help me get my senses back togheter. Thank's Bart! It turned out good and looks really cute in his bed.

Ida goes to prom

Here's my little sister Ida and her date for her senior prom. He came dressed in a tuxedo and brought her a bouquet of flower (yellow of course to match her dress). She is so cute my sister and I am so proud of her finally graduation from high school, with really good grades I might add (she probably got that after me, haha). Jenny did her hair and make-up, which turned up really nice, almost like a professional had done it. The rest of the sister, me and my mom spend the day just watching her transform into this beautiful woman and just supporting her. She was so nervous before her date arrived and we where told not to embarrass her in front of him. The actual prom was held at a nice and big castle right by the ocean 10 minutes from their home. I bet she had a rally nice night, hopefully not too tired from dancing too much!

Me in week 38

I just had to squeeze in a photo of me posing of course. I am now in week 38 and the big day is coming shortly. The hospital bag is now packed, the baby's clothes are washed and ironed and the bed is made. I am feeling tired of being pregnant right now. Feeling heavy and having the belly in the way all the time is really getting on my nerves. I am not sleeping well at nights, constantly having to adjust try to get comfortable. And then I have to go to the bathroom once an hour. Bart keeps pushing on me cause supposedly I snore. I don't hear myself snore so I am starting to think that Bart is making it all up trying to get my attention. He's already jealous of the baby. I am definietly ready to have this baby now!

Midwife checkup!

Today we had a check-up at the midwife´s. It´s always fun to see how our baby boy is doing in there. And he is doing just fine, growing and getting bigger by every check-up. My blood pressure was 110/60 which is perfect, so the mom is doing fine too. The meassurement between the pubic bone to the top of the uterus is 36 cm, the so called SF meassurement. I am in week 37 today and the SF usually represents the number of weeks you are in, so I am growing right on track. Baby´s heartbeat was 130-140 bbm and as the midwife was standing there with the microphone on the belly little Noah gave us a big strong kick making the whole belly move like an alien. It was a strong little heartbeat we heard, sounding like a horse galloping. Every time I hear the heart I get a little teary thinking about the little life growing inside of me. The midwife felt for Noah´s head and it was still located down, but today she even felt that it was fixated. That means that he can come any day now. She estimated Noah´s weight right now to be 2800 grams or almost 6,5 lbs. Not the huge boy that we thought he was going to be with the Mendonca-gene running in him, but I guess that´s better for momma. The midwife think he will be a regular sized little boy, about 3800grams or about 8, 5 lbs. We have 2 more appointments scheduled before the due-date, but hopefully we will have our long awaited boy in our arms by then so that we can ditch at least the last one.
I had a session of mommy-yoga today. It was so much fun and did me really good today. It´s a really good way to strengthen your body and get some exercise in. Today we danced to a really cool song with african drums and you just close your eyes dancing and letting everything go. Then we do a keep-up exercise every time in yoga. Today we sat for about 10 minutes with our arms straight out och fingers pointing up. It is really tough and your arms are shaking in the end, but somehow you find strenght from within to make it.
Yesterday I and Jenny went to the mall. I finally did my toes, so now they are really cute and I am ready for the delivery. Now I have cute little fat pregnant lady toes. Life can´t get any better. By the way, I can´t use my wedding ring any longer. I didn´t think I was going to swell up since it hasn´t happen yet, but I was wrong. My fingers are like little sausages and my toes like little meatballs. Hehhe, a really funny look.

Last Chance Date Night

Last night we had our last date before Noah arrives. We went to Harry's and it was not so good. The fries were the best part of the meal. Oh well, it's more about being together and having a little fun. As you can see, Josefine is feeding that baby good. He certainly is not starving. I can't say anything though, because I am also eating well. Despite working out four times a week I have gained more weight than Josefine has during this pregnancy. Josefine has promised me that we can go on a diet a little after Noah is born though. I really need it because I only have one pair of jeans left that fit me and those are starting look real old. They don't have much time left. I'll just switch to sweat pants after the jeans die.

Valborg

On the last day of April, we celebrated Valborg here in Sweden. We welcome spring by burning bonfires all over the country. It's a rellay old tradition, I belive a tousand years or so. It's was Bart's first time experiencing this wierd tradition. We went down to the beach here in Viken together with my sister, her dad, his wife, David. It was a lot of fun, a litte chilli since it was around 9 o'clock at night. But the sun is still up though, even though it's about to set in this picture.

Kullaberg

On the first of May we went to Kullaberg, a nature reserve. Just look at the view! It's almost like you feel a little nervouse walking up there on the big mountain. There's a lot a trails you can hike on and caves carved out by the ocean. But since me and my sister are both pregnant we don't have some much energi to do any of those activities, and not the guts either by the way. We where satisfied by just looking at the view. We went to Flickorna Lundgren, a cute and famouse coffeeplace with a really good location overlooking the ocean. But we got shocked over the over the extreme prices. A cup of coffee was 50 crowns, over 5 dollars. More than Starbucks for crying out loud! Oh well, it was a lot of fun.
